Reflections

As I reflect on the Kenya trip, my memories include faces of needy orphan children, peer educators (young adults) working with youth, churches with unfinished buildings, poverty, hunger, thirst, people walking to & from on dusty roads,  community health workers trained to care for aids' patients, children heading households where parents are deceased, teachers teaching, and pastors preaching. And yet, there is an amazing picture in my mind.  It is quite a vivid picture, not of the challenges & hardships of the people, but one of the pure joy of the people.  Their joy is in the Lord & they express it through worship, singing, fellowship, & smiles.  The people are happy in their Lord and want to share their love with others, serving Him in their daily walk.
